Entry for a competition organised by 4 district counsels of Amsterdam. The assignment was to make an urban, architectural and landscape intervention to revive a post-war part of West Amsterdam.
The design brings water into the plan by introducing semi-closed housing units alongside newly created canals, a typical element of Amsterdam urbanism. Various smaller scale elements were also created (like the portal structures along the waterfronts that would unite the diverse neighbourhoods surrounding the Sloterplas lake). It was awarded second place in the competition from 185 entries.
